A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about my top favorite websites to get styled stock photography. The very first shop I mentioned on the list was the SC Stockshop by Shay Cochrane. If you could not already tell by my website and Instagram feed, this is one of my absolute favorite places to purchase styled stock photography for my branding. The SC Stockshop offers beautifully styled stock images that are incredibly high quality! The only issue I hear most people mention is the price. It’s true, the images in the stockshop are more expensive than most stock images for small businesses that I’ve seen. However, considering what you get from that, the investment is amazing! Not sure what I mean? Well, let me explain.

Why the SC Stockshop?

The images from the SC Stockshop are so high quality, you can crop down to very small details within a single image. This means that you can create fresh new content for days or weeks (depending on how often you post) from just one image! Don’t believe me? Well a few months ago, the stockshop posted an image on Instagram that challenged you to create 30+ images from just one of their styled stock photos. I was really intrigued by this idea, so I decided to try it with my own styled desktop image that I had purchased from the shop. This is the image I originally purchased:

The Challenge

For this challenge, I picked an image that was completely filled with different objects and virtually no blank space. Personally, I think this challenge would be tough to do with and image that only has one or two items in it. From that single image, I was able to create at least 30 brand new images just by cropping, rotating, and flipping the canvas. Here is the result:

Can you believe that?! 30 different images! I probably could have kept going, but I decided to stop at 30. That’s one whole month of social media posts right there! That is perfect for any business owner, but it is particularly helpful for service based businesses that do not have products to sell. You can use these crops on your social media pages, on your website and blog, and even shop banners. From an investment standpoint, consider this: would you rather spend $15 on a single image you might be able to use 2 or 3 times, or a little bit more on an image on one you can use over and over again?

The best part is that the SC Stockshop offers amazing sales where you can get 40% off twice a year! If you want to take advantage of those sales, make sure you subscribe to their newsletter. They’ve also added a clearance section where you can get some of your favorite images at a discounted rate! They only sell limited quantities of each image, so make sure you grab them when you can!

Tune in next week for even more!

If you’re already a fan of the SC Stockshop, I would encourage you to give this challenge a try! You might surprise yourself with the amount of images you’re able to create using a single stock image. If you enjoyed this post, then check in next week, because I’m giving you an entire month of Instagram content ideas! Seriously!! Until then, my friends!
