My Favorite Resources for WordPress Themes
You want to refresh your WordPress website, but you’re at a loss when it comes to finding a beautiful, affordable theme that works for your business. You search and search for WordPress-friendly themes, but it seems like everywhere you look, you can only find themes for Squarespace or ShowIt. Friends, I know the feeling, which is why I’ve compiled this list of some of my favorite resources for WordPress Themes! From personal blogs to responsive e-commerce websites, I guarantee one of these shops will have the template that you’re looking for for your next big project!
Hello You Designs
Hello You Designs is my absolute favorite place to shop for WordPress themes! Before I switched to ShowIt, I used several WordPress themes from Hello You Designs over the years to grow my editing business. I got SO many compliments about how beautiful and professional my site looked when I used these themes.
Not only are these themes beautiful and incredibly affordable, but they are easy to install. Jennifer offers tutorials and support if you have any issues once you have installed your theme. Any time there’s a WordPress update that messes up a theme, she has a post on her site that tells you how to fix it. The customer service is amazing, to say the least.
You can also pay a little extra to have her install your theme, which is 100% completely worth it! I did this when I switched themes because I wanted to make sure I didn’t screw anything up and accidentally erase my entire blog. It was well worth the money I spent to have that peace-of-mind and to have that time back for other things. They also offer hosting services, which is wonderful if you’re just getting started and you want everything to be in the same place.
BluChic offers some really beautiful WordPress themes that I’ve had my eye on for a while. Their themes range from $79-$129, which is a really reasonable price for what you are getting! The thing I love about BluChic themes is that they are a bit more versatile for the everyday business owner. They are not just for photographers or just for virtual assistants. These themes can be used by anyone in any industry! I also love some of the other WordPress templates they have in their shop, so head on over there and see what you’re missing!
The Palm Shop
Davey & Krista, owner of The Palm Shop, have recently started offering WordPress templates of their themes, and I could not be happier about it! I have always loved their themes, and I was disappointed when they were only available for ShowIt. Now you can grab most of their WordPress themes for $249. They also have an install option that costs a little more, but is well-worth it to save you the hassle of switching your theme! The only downside to The Palm Shop’s themes is that they’re geared more towards photographers and videographers and not quite as versatile as some of the other shop’s themes. However, if you’re in the photography industry, you’ll definitely want to check them out!
Restored 316 Designs
Fun fact: my very first website theme (from 6 years ago) was from Restored 316 Designs! I loved the theme, but it was better suited for me when I was doing photography before I did editing. I must say that they’ve come a long way since I used them and they are just gorgeous! They have some really beautiful WordPress templates, and they range from $75-$129. The thing I love about these themes is that all of the designs are really clean and don’t have a lot of “fluff” on them. They’re professional and versatile, and they’ll even install your theme for you!
The Lovely Confetti
The Lovely Confetti has some really gorgeous WordPress themes for about $67.50-$82 USD. I used a theme from this shop for a second blog I had a few years ago, and it was SO easy to install! Not only that, but it was just really beautiful and clean theme. The one downside to The Lovely Confetti’s themes is that there aren’t quite as many to choose from as some of the other shops, but they have a lot of versatility. They have themes that are designed for personal blogs, but also some themes that are great for photographers, creative entrepreneurs, and e-commerce, so they are a great resource to check out!
