Hi everyone! Well, here we are – in November! Oddly enough, it’s a high of 80 today in North Carolina, but the leaves are in full display, and it’s so beautiful. As this blog is live, I am actually in sunny Florida competing in a Disney half marathon with my husband. We’ve been training for a while, and I’m so excited the day finally arrived. A blog will be posted about that, soon! For now, it’s time for the LAST post in the “Meet the Editor” series!
I’ve said it time and time again, the reason Emily Moore Photo is successful is because of these amazing ladies. Up until now, you’ve met 6 of my other associate editors. Today I’m going to introduce you to Samantha, a born and raised Illinois native. I hope you’ve enjoyed this “Meet the Editor” series – it has been so fun to brag on my amazing team!
Samantha Hartzel – Photo Editor
Samantha was born in southern Illinois and that’s where she lives today. She earned how to edit when she started her photography business in 2015. After learning the ins and outs of Lightroom and finding she actually REALLY enjoys editing, she decided to pursue it as a side job to supplement her photography business. She got her first client in 2017 and eventually began working with me here at EMP.
Samantha’s idea of a perfect weekend would start by getting up to see the sunrise, eating brunch, going for a hike with her boyfriend, then eating a picnic dinner together while watching the sunset! That sounds AMAZING if you ask me. One day she hopes to visit Italy to sightsee and eat all the food she can muster. Her favorite snacks are trail mix and pretzels and she’s obsessed with coffee. If she has time for a show, she’s definitely binging the Great British Baking Show.
Samantha is inspired by Lindsey Roman and Evie (Rupp) McLeod of The Heart University. She loves all of the content and the courses they create and gives them credit for being the reason her business has been successful. They have a podcast she can’t get enough of that includes practical business and real-life solutions.
Samantha, I am so grateful to have you on my team! You are so appreciated and your work is incredible! I hope you enjoyed “meeting” Samantha. If you want to follow her, you can find her at @samanthasuzannephotography and check her out here.
PS Thank you Jess, my virtual assistant, for the “this or that” graphic and for assisting with these “Meet the Editor” posts!
