Tis the season for weddings, and my team and I are working overtime to get our client’s galleries delivered on time. Spring (into early summer) and fall are the busiest times for photographers and photo editors, so if you see one, give them a hug and maybe buy them a coffee – I bet you they need it and will appreciate it more than you know!

Speaking of photo editors, I could pinch myself that I now have seven amazing team members that work with me. Every day I wake up so grateful for each of them and their dedication to serving our clients well. When I started this business, it was just me, myself, and I with my husband as my biggest supporter (which of course he still is). I always had hopes I could have a team of photo editors that work alongside me so I could help more clients. Seven years later, that goal is now a reality, and I couldn’t be more grateful for each one of them and all of their hard work to support this business. 

I am not the only one singing their praises, however, as they each get such amazing feedback from the clients they work with. You can check out some of their testimonials on my Instagram page under the “testimonials” highlight. Since they are all so great, I thought it would be really fun to do a “Meet the Editor” blog series that allows you to get to know each of them a bit better. Every so often I will be sharing a blog post that highlights each one individually, as they each deserve a little time in the spotlight!

I hope you enjoy getting to know each of them over the next few months and appreciate them as much as I do! Without these ladies, my business wouldn’t be what it is today – so they are worthy of the recognition. I’m going to jump into our first photo editor right here in this post, let’s get to it!

Kaitlyn Blake

First and foremost, you must know that Kaitlyn is a die hard Swiftie (meaning, she’s obsessed with Taylor Swift) and her bright and bubbly personality has her brides calling her “the ultimate hype girl”. She currently lives in Fort Bragg, NC with her husband and 3 kids. Since she was raised in the army, and her husband is in the military, she has lived all over! She has also had the privilege to travel all over the world and country, a lot of that is because of her wedding photography business. She has shot weddings in Greece and Ireland and soon will be heading to France, Italy, and Switzerland to shoot some amazing weddings (wow, I can’t wait to see those images!).

After having her 3rd child, she has taken a step back from shooting weddings to focus on editing – she loves that editing is something she can do no matter where she ends up in the world! One of her biggest dreams is to own a wedding venue where she and her family can live. Some people that inspire her are Katelyn James, Perry Vaile, and Mary Costa. Lastly, if she could go back in time and tell her younger self a piece of advice, it would be “listen to your mom, she’s always right and is looking out for your best interest!”. Being a mom now myself, I would have to agree 😉
